In order to better understand and describe the interactions of micrometeorology, vegetation and fire danger, the project „Micrometeorology and fire danger in complex terrain“ enables a collaboration of experts from the University of Melbourne (School of Forest and Ecosystem Sciences) with the Professorship of Ecoclimatology. This project combines, analyses and compares data from sensor networks in mountainous landscapes at an international level. In addition, fuel moisture sensors shall be improved and an exchange of expertise, knowledge and devices shall be fostered by exchange visits.
